LBPA Works for You

Founded in 1976, the Lansdowne Business and Professional Association works to improve and promote the Lansdowne business community - making the borough a better place to live, work and shop. Comprised of Lansdowne business owners and residents, the LBPA membership meets regularly to exchange ideas, participate in constructive change and seek out and develop new business opportunities.

The LBPA sponsors three community events each year:

Community Wine Tasting
(and elegant dinner)

What began as a social evening for LBPA members, has grown into a gala community event. A diverse group of friends and neighbors dine on sumptuous fare from local restaurants and sample exotic wines from around the world.

We host this event each Spring.Make sure to sign up for Lansdowne Announce! so that you will be notified when the next Community Wine Tasting will be held.

Memorial Day Parade

Each year the LBPA fully funds and produces the Memorial Day Parade. Free flags are distributed to the onlookers before the parade starts so that the veterans may be greeted by the waving of the "Red, White, and Blue".

A program is held at Penn Wood High School with the Marching Band and the boom of a gun salute from the Civil War Reinactors. Sincere speeches tug on the heart strings and patriotic music is enjoyed by all.

The Holiday Tree Lighting

The LBPA has been sponsoring this delightful event for many, many years. Recently, the event has grown to a substantial celebration with dancers from Don's Dance World and Brass band from Penn Wood High School. Hot cider, cocoa, and holiday carols keep all warm in body and spirit.

New for 2006 , the Girl Scouts will provide and decorate a beautiful lighted tree. The Boy Scouts will be decorating the lot with festive creations.
