LANSDOWNE BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION is the organization of professional and business owners in the Borough of Lansdowne. It was first organized in 1962 by merchants and professional men and women in the central business district. Incorporated in 1975, the organization now includes members from Lansdowne neighborhood business districts and home-based businesses, as well as associate members who reside in Lansdowne or have businesses near the borough and participate in its activities.

The Holiday Tree LightingThe Lansdowne Business and Professional Association has organized this delightful event for decades. Recently, the event has grown to a substantial celebration with the Brass band from Penn Wood High School. Hot cider, cocoa, and holiday carols keep all warm in body and spirit. Kids enjoy a visit with Santa and come away with a candy cane and surprise.

Memorial Day ParadeEach year the Lansdowne Business Association fully funds and produces the Memorial Day Parade. Free flags are distributed to the onlookers before the parade starts so that the veterans may be greeted by the waving of the "Red, White, and Blue". We gather at the Penn Wood High School field where wreaths are placed at the WWI and WWII memorials. A lively program that tugs at the heart strings with patriotic music enjoyed by all. |
