* Sue Forsyth O'Grady ~ '68 * Janet Ruch Boltz ~ '69 * Betty Ann Hoffman Quinn ~ '69 * Denise Conway Crawford ~ '70 * Marianne Crawford Stanley ~ '72 * Patricia Opila ~ '68 (deceased)
The Mighty Macs made history in 1972 when they won the National Basketball Championship for Immaculata and ignited an excitement for women's basketball that inspired many young women to shoot for the stars as they pursued their dreams in college classrooms as well as in college basketball arenas. Their electrifying pursuit is portrayed in the upcoming movie, "Our Lady of Victory." But, before they went on to play for the Mighty Macs, six of those young women were known simply as "Girls of Prendergast High." On March 30, 2008 the alumnae of Archbishop Prendergast High School is hosting our annual Celebrate Prendie event by honoring our graduates who went on to play for the National Champion Mighty Macs in 1972, '73 and '74 Reservation deadline is March 20, 2008. A $30.00 donation payable to APHS will be accepted. For further information and a reservation form, go to www.prendie.com.

Featured Pet:
Pretty Girl: This sweet, petite kitty found roaming around town is very loving, affectionate and cuddly; she is delicate under her fluffy fur. Beautiful coloring; looks kind of like a Maine Coon - salt-and-pepper fur mixed with with gold, with green eyes and black velvet paws, and a huge feather-plume of a tail. Loves to sit on your lap & purr while wiggling her little body to get closer for more petting. Just adorable! She's a good eater, healthy, and talks and chirps all the time. Pretty Girl has been completely vetted to include testing (she's negative), spay, shots & worming/flea treatment. Animal Friends of Lansdowne
