Celebrate Prendie 2008!!!
Join Us As We Honor the Prendie Girls
Who Went on to Become the Mighty Macs

The Mighty Macs made history in 1972 when they won the National Basketball Championship for Immaculata and ignited an excitement for women's basketball that inspired many young women to shoot for the stars as they pursued their dreams in college classrooms as well as in college basketball arenas. Their electrifying pursuit is portrayed in the upcoming movie, "Our Lady of Victory." But, before they went on to play for the Mighty Macs, six of those young women were known simply as "Girls of Prendergast High." On March 30, 2008 the alumnae of Archbishop Prendergast High School is hosting our annual Celebrate Prendie event by honoring our graduates who went on to play for the National Champion Mighty Macs in 1972, '73 and '74 Reservation deadline is March 20, 2008. A $30.00 donation payable to APHS will be accepted. For further information and a reservation form, go to www.prendie.com or contact Eileen Sherlock Boland '73 at 610-446-9494.

Featured Pet:
Marty: This pet is up to date with routine shots, is already house trained, and has been altered. Marty's age has been estimated to be about 5 years old. He has a HUGE tom cat head and has had a very rough life. Marty has lived outside as a neighborhood stray for several months and had to kill birds to survive. He slept on a gravel driveway below a neighbor's car to keep shelter from the cold. Marty has tested POSITIVE for both FeLV/FIV. He is now current on vaccines and is neutered and litter trained. He is a shy guy at first but once he gets to know and trust you, he will love to curl up in your lap- he LOVES to snuggle with people (look at his picture with his foster family!). Loves to sleep on window ledges, looking out the window. He can no longer go outside (due to being Felv positive). Marty must be adopted by someone where he can be the only cat, or by someone who already has FeLV (and possibly FIV) positive cat (s). His health issues do not require anything by way of daily treatment and do not affect his daily life. He has no symptoms and needs no other special vet care. He just needs a safe, loving home. Marty is currently being fostered sequestered from the other cats in the house (which is truly a lonely life for him). Please consider Marty, he needs a break! He's a good cat, he'll make a great companion.
