Design Charette
The professional designer, architect, historian, landscape architect and others from The Community Design Collaborative invite all residents of the Borough to participate in a design charette on November 6th at 7 pm. This is a "working presentation" that will be instrumental in shaping the final plans for 20 Lansdowne Court. Please let me know if you can attend. This is also open to all residents of the Borough. Family Fun Night
This event is to benefit Sycamore Park Fund. The Greater Lansdowne Civic Association is sponsoring an event on Saturday November 8 at 5 pm until 8 pm. We will have the main room at the 20th Century club. The costs is $10.00 per child ages 4-16 adults a donation and children under 4 are free. We will have hot dogs, chips...drinks etc. Ice cream will be provided by the Franklin Fountain Ice cream Vendors from Philadelphia. Games with prizes, face painting, a clown and balloon animals. Our Man Flint
Show times: November 8th, 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm With the new James Bond flick hitting theaters this fall, we invite you to take a step back in time and revisit James' cousin Derek Flint. "Holiday Bazaar" at The Garden Church

The girls' goal is to visit the World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts World Center, PAX Lodge! They are working hard on raising funds for airfare, lodging, food, and passports! Babette's Feast
Show times: Saturday, November 22nd, 6:45 pm & 9:00 pm. Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Film, Babette's Feast depicts 19th century Denmark, and two adult sisters who live despite the opportunities to see the world, live in an isolated village with their father, a pastor of a small and unique Protestant church. They take in a beggar, Babette, who changes their lives by throwing a feast for the tiny church. Above all, Babette's Feast is about righting old wrongs, rekindling old loves, and the mystical redemption of the human spirit... just in time for Thanksgiving. Start your holidays right on Saturday November 21st with the annual Tree Lighting. We will gather at the municipal parking lot (across from the theater) with FREE hot chocolate and hot cider for all.

  • 6:00ish There will be singing of Carols and dancing by Don's Dance World students

Volunteers Needed for Tree Plantings
Join with friends and neighbors in the Borough Of Lansdowne to plant trees on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 9 am -- Meet at Borough Green to help plant 60 trees along Baltimore Avenue from Lansdowne Avenue to Rigby Avenue; volunteers are needed for various jobs: taking registration, tools distribution & plantings trees. There will also be a training class on tree planting on Monday Nov. 10 at the Twentieth Century Club 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Please let us know if you would like to attend the class or help on Nov. 22, lunch will be provided by the Tree Advisory Board. A Bit of the Arts Fine Arts Show
This FREE event is a great opportunity to support the arts and complete your holiday shopping! A fine arts show that focuses on photography, watercolor paintings, acrylic and oil paintings, pottery, glassblowing, jewelry-making, printmaking, and live music. Borough Seeking Zoning
Hearing Board Candidates

Lansdowne Borough is looking for candidates to join the Zoning Hearing Board. The Zoning Hearing Board members are appointed by the Borough Council, and we are currently soliciting letters of interest from residents who may be interested. There are no special requirements or degrees, however, the council does look favorably on individuals who are proactive in learning about zoning issues and have an interest in helping to plan our community's future. Please send letters of interest to the Borough Manager at TotaroC@borough.lansdowne.pa.us, or drop one off at Borough Hall.
